A Weekend Well Spent

Hello guys.. Neev here. It’s been long since I last wrote here.

I have recently decided to start writing blogs on this page and share my life with you guys. So… yeah…

I recently (Saturday, 23-05-2020) bought an Akai Mini Mpk mkII, which is, I admit, is not that easy to use as I imagined it to be. Basically, it is a small midi controller. I’ve been using it to try make a remix of Dance Monkey which I will probably upload on my Youtube channel.

I have also started building a robot out of cardboard. It all started when my dad took out some of the cardboard boxes because he wanted to make some sort of space-filling thing (I don’t know exactly). When my brother saw those he remembered a video which we saw together where a guy makes a cardboard maze for his hamster. Well, naturally, he said that he also wanted to make a maze out of the boxes. We didn’t have any hamsters so he (my brother) and my dad decided to make a smaller version of the maze where a marble could be manoeuvred. So that is how my dad and brother spent the entire Sunday.

You all are probably wondering where does my robot come in this… I have seen a great deal of robot-related content- fictional as well as non-fictional. So, while my dad and brother (mostly dad) worked on the maze I decided to make a small robot. Nothing too advanced.

So, I started working on the feet first. Only after completing both the legs, I realized that I could do a bit of programming on it that would really make it look good. Nothing complex. Just a few LEDs and a motor. I have completed the legs and the torso and this will probably be completed in a week.

So, this is what I’ve been working on lately.
